Nightlife in the Napa Valley

Napa Valley is famous for its great wines, hospitality and dining. But did you know that Napa now boasts a dramatic new nightlife scene, too? It’s the icing on the cake for this bustling town, as hip venues have been popping up with a dazzling array of live performances, dancing, DJ tunes, and certainly a late night craft cocktail or two.

Andaz Napa
The Andaz Artists are a rotating roster of musicians showcasing acoustic guitarists from the Bay Area. The joint rocks with covers and original songs played in either the Mercantile Social bar or the Lobby Lounge every Wednesday and Saturday from 8 to 11 p.m.

Blue Note Napa
This big time supper club draws national and international artists, along with Bay Area and regional favorites. Dine while you soak up the tunes, too, on farm to table seasonally inspired cuisine paired with Napa Valley wine, craft brews and classic cocktails. Set on the first floor of the historic Napa Valley Opera House, Blue Note Napa offers two shows nightly at 7 and 9:30 p.m, Tuesday through Sunday.

Brannon’s Grill
This classic yet contemporary American restaurant in downtown Calistoga features live music every Friday and Saturday evening starting at 7:30 p.m. Groove along with noshes, wine, craft beer or cocktails from their historic Brunswick bar.

Ca’ Momi Osteria
Osteria Live lights up the house on Friday and Saturday evenings starting at 10 p.m. The complimentary show offers regional and national acts, predominantly acoustic, paired with Ca’ Momi’s late night dining menu. Osteria Live presents La Notte Latina, featuring DJ Jose Miguel the first and third Friday of every month, which features the rhythms of salsa, cumbia, and merengue traditions. Coming soon is Osteria Laugh, featuring comedy showcases.

Cadet Wine Bar
This downtown Napa tasting room offers a late night option to celebrate the world of wines and beer created by producers from California and beyond. It’s open until 1 a.m. weeknights and 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights, and boasts a vast selection of music on classic vinyl.

Downtown Joes
The neighborhood brewery and restaurant in downtown Napa swings with live entertainment several nights each week, including live music on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. Sundays feature DJ dance parties.

Tucked in the heart of downtown Calistoga, this neighborhood favorite tempts with 20 microbrews on tap, along with generously poured cocktails and live jazz and blues on Friday and Saturday evenings.

JaM Cellars
A state-of-the-art sound system and classic vinyl collection complement the vintage Rolling Stone magazine art and musical furnishings in this in hip lounge. Highlights include movie and music tribute nights, live bands on Fridays, and a complimentary “toast with Toast” sparkling wine freebie at 4 p.m. each day. The food menu entices, too, served seven days a week, 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday and until midnight Thursday through Saturday.

The tasting salon in the Oxbow District of downtown Napa jams with live music nearly every Thursday and Friday nights from 7 to 10 p.m. Enjoy performances from various local artists along with award-winning wines. Thursday’s Open Mic Night has long been a favorite among the locals and visitors alike.

The Uptown Theatre
This is a restored art deco masterpiece from 1937 showcasing the finest acts in music and comedy. An historic landmark, the Uptown offers an intimate live show experience with world-class sound and site lines.
