The newly renovated Uptown Theatre in Napa Valley opened its doors last month and has already been providing some of the most famous, talented, and legendary musicians spanning all genres. Since singer, songwriter, guitarist Boz Scaggs released his first album in 1969 his unique ability to cross the boundaries of musical genres with mesmerizing skill has been rewarded with a loyal following. In 1976 he achieved phenomenal commercial success with his album Silk Degrees. Silk Degrees topped the United States music charts at the number two position and reached the number one position in countries world-wide. In 1980 Boz Scaggs released his third consecutive platinum album before taking a break from the music industry. In 1988 he returned with the release of an album containing another Top 40 hit. His 2003 release took the Number One position on the Billboard’s Jazz Chart proving that after over 30 years in the music industry new and long-time fans continue to be mesmerized.

For his tour in 2008 Boz Scaggs personally chose David Jacobs-Strain as the opening performer. David Jacobs-Strain like Boz Scaggs is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist – slide guitarist.
